Storyboarding

If you used the chunking examples, and course content templates to organize your content, creating a storyboard is a logical next step, in fact, you have already created the basic storyboard for your course with the organization of your content.

Storyboarding is about making sure that the people you are working with understand what you want to accomplish with your course components. By using the chunking templates, you have created a start to a storyboard. All you need to do is add instructions.

For example

As you go through your content, you may decide that READING may not be the best way to present this information, and you may decide to create a group assignment, an interactive video, an infographic, podcast, etc.

In order to effectively communicate what you want to the Multimedia, or LDC staff, include all the information necessary for them to complete their portion of the task.

Avoid references to the course name or any specific textbook or page number in scripting a lesson, which enables content to be reusable among courses and programs and minimizes revisions in the event of a textbook change.
